<note>This thesis is entitled: "An Analysis of  Form, fuctions,and Meaning of Sedo Deru in Reba  Ceremony in Deru Village, Ngada Regency. " The problem of this study are :  (1) What are the forms involved in the  Sedo Deru ceremony in the Reba ceremony. (2) What are the meanings behind the forms involved at Sedo Deru in the Reba ceremony. (3) What are the functions of forms involved in the Sedo Deru in the Reba ceremony. The aims of this study are: (1) identifying cultural forms involved in Sedo Deru in the Reba ceremony. (2) describing the meanings behind the forms involved in Sedo Deru in the Reba ceremony. (3) describe the functions of the cultural forms involved in Sedo Deru in Reba ceremony. The method used to collect the data was a qualitative descriptive method. It was used to find out the forms of  Sedo Deru in Reba  Ceremony in Deru Village, Ngada Regency, and to describe the meanings and Function of Sedo Deru in Reba  Ceremony in Deru Village, Ngada Regency. The research was conducted in Deru Village, Ngada Regency. The data were taken from three informants. The techniques of data collection are observation, identifying, and describing. The results show that: (1). The forms found in Sedo Deru in Reba traditional ceremony in Ngada regency are, for example:" zia ana naka zia weki zia lo pawe (‘(We) pray for our children so that they will get recovered and healthy”), nalu zili sao are mae more wali mange ( ‘ food ( cassava) in the traditional  house gives strength for all of us’)  ine wae susu leu pale wana ( breast milk bring peace). (2). Types of meanings of form found in this study is (a) social meaning,  example: Ana deru Reba uwi nage reta main mai moni  ( Deru people was sedo the audience came to see this sedo deru). (b) Affective meaning, for example, Ine wae susu ine susu leu pale wana ( breast milk bring peace). (c) Religius meaning, for example, zia ana naka zia weki zia lo pawe (‘(We) pray for our children so that they will get recovered and healthy”), 3. The found symbol in sedo deru in reba traditional ceremony in Ngada regency. We found only one symbol , the symbol is reflective meaning, example:a) Sao meze ( Traditional house of  Ngada especially in Deru village). b) Ngadhu ( a symbol name for male ancestors). (c) Bhaga (a Symbol name for female  ancestors ).
