This study is entitled: “English Songs to Improve Listening Ability of SMA Negeri 7 Kota Kupang students” This research aims to improve students' listening skills in Class Eleven Science of SMA Negeri 7 Kota Kupang. This research used English songs in teaching listening. This research was done by giving students Fill in the Blank song lyrics. This research method was classroom action research, which consisted of 2 cycles. The subject of this research was students of Class Eleven Science of SMA Negeri 7 Kota Kupang. The research was conducted to solve problem encountered by the students in listening. Most of the students could not listen well because they lacked vocabulary. The technique of data collecting for this research was observation and test. The tools of data collecting were a listening tests and an observation checklists. This research showed that English songs improved students’ listening skills by Filling in the blank of song lyrics. The students’ scores in listening also improved in the teaching learning process. From this result, it can be concluded that students’ listening skills using English songs improved. In other words, this media can help students in listening.
