This thesis was entitled An Analysis of Slang Words Found In the vlog of Ricky Bobby, A USA Chef. There are two research problems of this research. The first is what are the types of slang words used in Ricky Bobby Chef’s vlog?, and the second is what are the meanings of the slang words used in Ricky Bobby Chef’s vlog?. This research aimed to know the types and the meanings of slang words used in the vlog of Ricky Bobby Chef. The writer used the descriptive qualitative method in this research and the instrument used in collecting the data was the script of the vlog. The writer used the theory of Allan and Burridge (2006) as the guidance in classifying the types of the data. Meanwhile in finding out the meaning of the slang words, the writer uses slang dictionaries such as Urban dictionary, English slang dictionary, slang dictionary and U slang dictionary and the writer also analyzed the slang words based on the context of the data. From the data collection, the writer found five types of slang word and 32 slang words in the vlog of Ricky Bobby Chef. The types of slang words that are found such as acronym, clipping, fresh and creative, flippant, and imitative. There were three slang words classified as acronym such as, IG, DD, and DDRS. There were five slang words as clipping such as as bro, cause, mom, Grandma, and boyfie. There were 14 slang words as fresh and creative such as damn, mawmaw, mommy, guys, honey, shit, daddy, chicken, dang, buddy, kids, cool, brown, and greedy. There were four slang words as flippant such as oh my god, my goodness, fuck up, and my gosh. There were 6 slang words as imitative type such as gimme, wanna, gonna, lemme, gotta, and vodcast. So, from the types of slang words, the slang words that were more existed was the slang words as fresh and creative types of slang. Keywords: Slang words, vlog
