This thesis is entitled: A semiotic analysis of Hubi Ae ikat weaving motives in Savunese culture. This study aims: (1) to know the forms of the motives found in Hubi Ae ikat weaving, (2) to identify the meanings of the motives in the Hubi Ae ikat weaving from Savunese culture. The method used was descriptive qualitative method. The research was conducted in Ina Sabu ikat weaving shop, Oepura sub-district, Kupang city. The techniques of data collection are: interview, video recording and picture taken. Procedures of the data analysis are: the first interview about Hubi Ae ikat weaving and take pictures of the motive, identify the motive and interpret it, the second interview about the motive meanings, and describing. The result shows that: (1) Hubi Ae ikat weaving has 5 motives, there are; Hebe Kobe, Hebe Worapi, Hebe Wokelaku, Hebe Ros, and Hebe Leba. (2) The meaning of each motives are; Hebe Kobe as symbol of familiarity, Hebe Worapi as fertility, Hebe Wokelaku as glory, Hebe Ros as the symbol of beauty, and Hebe Leba symbolize power.
