This research has two research problem. Firstly, what signs are represented in the Batman film according to the theory of Charles Sanders Pierce? Secondly, What are the meaning of icons, indexes, and symbols as expressed in the Batman film according to the theory of Charles Sanders Pierce? The aims of this study are : firstly, to find out what signs are represented in the Batman film. Secondly, to explain the meaning of the signs represented in the Batman film. In conducting this study, the researcher used descriptive qualitative method. The data resource of this study was The Batman film. The data were collected by using documentations techniques. The researcher analyzed the data by identifying and describing techniques. The result shows that there are twenty-four scenes and thirty kinds of signs that the researcher finds in the film. Of the thirty signs, they are divided into three kinds of signs, namely icon, index and symbol. The researcher finds that there are 2 icons, 9 indexes and 19 symbols.
