<note>This thesis is entitled: “Toddler’s Foreign Language Acquisition through Smartphone (A Case Study of A 3-Year-Old Child”. This study was conducted to answer the research questions: (1) How does toddler acquire foreign language through smartphone? (2) What features does smartphone have to facilitate toddlers in acquiring English as a foreign language? The researcher took a 3-year-old child named Agatha Jesslyn Martins Nai Buti to be the research subject. The aims of this study were to describe the process of a toddler acquiring foreign language through smartphone and to find out the features of smartphone that facilitate toddlers in acquiring English as a foreign language. The method used in this study was qualitative method with the type of case study. In this study, the researcher employed the observation technique to obtain data. The observation was conducted for seven days in a week, from March 6th, 2023 to March 12th, 2023. From the data obtained, the researcher analyzed and found out that the subject of this research acquire foreign language through imitation, interaction and repetition. Besides, the researcher concluded that features in smartphone that facilitate toddlers in acquiring English as a foreign language were the connection to the internet and applications on smartphone that keep the toddler entertained.
