<note>The title of this research is “An Analysis Formative Test Items Made by The English Teacher of First Grade of SMP Angkasa Kupang in The Academic Year 2021/2022”. This study focused on the difficulty index, discrimination power and distractor function. This study used quantitative method in case study form.. The data sources were the test items, and students’ answer sheet. The data analysis procedures were: (1) the formative test items were analyzed to identify the correct and incorrect answer of the students’ answer sheet, (2) the data were classified to measure the quality of the items test based on the difficulty index, discrimination power, and distractor function.The results shows that: (1) the level of difficulty were considered as medium. There were fivequestions of the test that were considered as difficult, nine questions that were considered as medium, six question that were considered as easy, (2) the item discrimination were considered as excellent. There were fourteen questions of the test that were considered as excellent, five questions that were considered as good, one question that were considered as satisfactory, (3) the distractor function of the test that is not functioning.In conclusion, the first grade students of SMP Angkasa Kupang in the academic year 2021/2022 found it difficult in chosen the true answer because of the lack of understand.</note>
