This thesis is entitle; Efforts Of Fourth Semester Stundents English Department Of Nusa Cendana University To Improve Their Speaking Skill. The research aimet to find out the kinds of students effort in improving speaking skill and the aspects of speaking skill that mostly developed by the students. The subject of this research was fourty students in fourth semester students english department of Nusa Cendana University. the method used in the research is descriptive qualitative method. Collect students experiences questionaire and the questionaire of aspects speaking skill were use as the primary tools of data collection. The data showed that the activities of students efforts were varied. There were twenty college activities recognized as students effort. Which included in five activities scale, course learning, art music and teather, campus fasilities, personal experiences, and speaking experiences. So, the fourt semester students use several kinds of effort to improve speaking skill in various college activities scale.
