This thesis is entitled: The Correlation between Vocabulary and Reading Achievement of Second Semester Students of English Study Program in Nusa Cendana University on Academic Year 2022/2023. This research is aimed to find out the correlation between vocabulary mastery and reading achievement of second semester students. The number of the population is 137 of second semester students of English Study Program of Nusa Cendana University. The instruments of collecting the data use vocabulary test and documentation. The questionnaire consists of 25 item questions from 5 indicators. The documentation used to collect the data of second semester student’s reading achievement. The collected data was analyzed by using Pearson Product Momen correlation. The findings of this research reveal that there is moderate level of correlation between vocabulary mastery and reading achievemnt of second semester students in academic year 2022/2023. The result of the study shown by coefficient correlation (rxy) is 0.503. It indicates that there is a contribution of vocabulary mastery toward reading achievement since it is included in the scale of r interpretation score between 0.400-0.600. Consequently, the conclusion reached is Ha accepted.
