<note>Learning assessment in Freedom to Learn Curriculum refers to the principles of learning assessment established by the government which places more emphasis on the learning process rather than the learning outcomes themselves. This study aims to find out how English teachers apply the learning assessment principles and to identify the principles of learning assessment that has been implemented by the English teacher at Adisucipto Catholic Junior High School An Agent of Change School, Kupang City. The results of the research through interviews found that the application of the principles of learning assessment carried out by the English teacher at Adisucipto Catholic Junior High School An Agent of Change School has been done well. However, some aspects of the principles of learning assessment have not been optimally implemented. Those aspects are self-assessment, peer-to-peer assessment, self-reflection, and providing feedback between friends. There were also found the teacher misconceptions about the principles of learning assessment between K13 and Freedom to Learn Curriculum.
Meanwhile, the results of research based on class observations show that most of the principles of learning assessment have been done optimally. It can be seen through the 10 aspects of the learning assessment principles applied in class 7A, there are 5 aspects that always appear in learning activities or as much as 50%. There are 2 aspects that often appear in learning activities or as much as 20%, there are 2 aspects that seldom appear in learning activities or as much as 20% and there is 1 aspect that never appears in learning activities or as much as 10%. The application of the principles of learning assessment carried out in class 7C is not much different from the application of the principles of learning assessment carried out in class 7A. This can be seen by always appearing 5 aspects in the learning activities carried out or as much as 50%. There are 10% or 1 aspect that often appears, there are 20% or 2 aspects that seldom appear and 20% or 2 aspects that never appear.</note>
