This research is entitled. “ A Semiotic Analysis of Symbols at Sa’o Adat Atalaki : A Traditional House in Ende – Flores”. The focus of this research is the meanings of symbols found in the traditional house “ Sa’o Adat Atalaki”. The objectives of this study are to find out the symbols and the meaning of the symbols in the traditional house “ Sa’o Adat Atalaki”. All the data gained are analyzed using the descriptive qualitative method and Semiotic concept by Charles Sanders Peirce. The instrument used in this study are observation, interview, documentation and recording using elicitation techniques from two informants. The results of this study showed that there are nineteen symbols found in the traditional house “ Sa’o Adat Atalaki” they are: ‘Kae/Noki’, as a symbol of Hope, ‘Go Lamba’ as a symbol of brotherly, ‘Gong’ as a symbol of Deliberation, ‘Kolo Kamba’ as a symbol of Reinforcement, ‘Susu Ko’ofai’ as a symbol of Fertility, ‘Teke Gawi’ as a symbol of Unity, ‘Ata Mbewa / Koba Lenda’ as a symbol of difficult to die, ‘Paku Raju’ as a symbol of Protect, ‘Tupa’ as a symbol of Provision, ‘Mbendi’ as a symbol of Protecting, ‘Aeki’ as a symbol of Protector, ‘Ina Besi’ as a symbol of Support, ‘Tana Besi Re Sa’o’ as a symbol of Support and Provision, ‘Watu Pa’a’ as a symbol of Connection, ‘Mbola Doko’ as a symbol of Farming, ‘Mbeka Dolu’ as a symbol of Process, ‘ Nggo’ as symbol of Offering, ‘Tali Ngae’ as a symbol of heart, ‘Nu Api’ as a symbol of Life.
