This study is entitled “A Study On Forms And Meanings Of Nggua Po’o Te’u Ritual In Ende Lio Community” This study was conducted to answer the research questions: (1) What are the stage of Nggua Po’o Te’u ritual? (2) what are the linguistic form of speech of Nggua Po’o Te’u (3) What Are The Types Of Meaning Of Nggua Po’o Te’u. The aims of this study are: (1) To describe the stage of Nggua Po’o Te’u ritual in Ende Lio Community (2) To identify the form of speech of Nggua Po’o Te’u ritual (3) To describe the meaning of Nggua Po’o Te’u ritual in ende Lio community . The method used was descriptive qualitative method. The data sources are five informants who know about the ritual. The data were collected by using some techniques, such as: interview, note taking, recording. The data were collected by using like: transcribing, identifying, tabling and describing. The result shows that (1) Nggua Po’o Te’u ritual have six ritual stage there are Mosalaki deliberation, Gather together at keda kanga, walking to the place of the ritual , Get to the place of the ritual, the beginning of Po’o, and ritual of Nggua Po’o Te’u ritual . There are four types of meaning from sevent types of meaning from Leech found in forms of Nggua Po’o Te’u ritual namely: a) Social meaning b) Reflective meaning c) Affective meaning, d) Connotative meaning.
