<note>Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh babi Duroc dan Landrace terhadap sifat produksi saat sapih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji t (t-test) dengan variabel yaitu jumlah sapihan, bobot sapih, lingkar dada dan mortalitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah sapihan Landrace 10±2,23 ekor dan Duroc 9,06±2,01 ekor, bobot sapih Landrace 5,98±0,5 kg dan Duroc 6,14±0,4 kg, lingkar dada Landrace 40,11±2,37 cm dan Duroc 37.55±9,57 cm dan mortalitas Landrace 0,46±0,99 ekor dan Duroc 0,33±0,72 ekor. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan pejantan Landrace dan Duroc tidak memberikan perbedaan yang nyata (P>0,05) untuk sifat produksi seperti jumlah sapihan saat sapih, bobot sapih, lingkar dada dan mortalitas ternak babi.

ABSTRACT
PRODUCTION PERFORMANCES AT THE WEANING AGE OF DUROC AND LANDRACE BREEDING PIGS

This research had been conducted at the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD), especially in the Tarus Pig Farming Installation, Kupang Regency and Manise Pig Farm, Kupang City. The research time was 24 weeks. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Duroc and Landrace pigs on production properties at weaning. The research method used was a survey. The data obtained were analyzed using the t test (t-test) with variables, namely the number of weaning, weaning weight, chest circumference and mortality. The results showed that the total weaning of Landrace was 10 ± 2.23 head and Duroc was 9.06 ± 2.01 head, the weaning weight of Landrace was 5.98 ± 0.5 kg and Duroc 6.14 ± 0.4 kg, the chest circumference of Landrace was 40.11. ± 2.37cm and Duroc 37.55 ± 9.57cm and the mortality of Landrace was 0.46 ± 0.99 head and Duroc 0.33 ± 0.72 head, respectively. Results of statistical analysis showed that Landrace and Duroc gave no significant difference (P> 0.05) for production characteristics such as the number of weaning, weight weaning,  breast circumference and pig mortality.
