<note>This research entitled “The teaching methods used by English teachers at SMAN 1 Rote Barat Laut after the Covid-19 Pandemic”.  This study aimed to find out the teaching methods used by English teachers at SMAN 1 Rote Barat Laut after the Covid-19 pandemic and to know the strengths and weaknesses of teaching methods used by English teachers at SMAN 1 Rote Barat Laut after the Covid-19 pandemic. The writer used a purposive sampling technique to select the subject of this study. The subjects were the English teachers at SMAN 1 Rote Barat Laut. This study was belonged to descriptive method. In collecting the data, interview and observation were used. The finding showed that there were three teaching methods used by the English teachers after the covid-19 pandemic, they were; Discussion method, Role-playing method, and Lecture method. Based on the teacher’s answers to the interview question, those methods were suitable for students in teaching and learning process after the Covid-19 pandemic. The observation showed that there were some strengths and weaknesses from these teaching methods. The strength of the teaching method was to help teacher gave the material to students easily and helps students to be trained in thinking critically. However, the weakness of this method was too long in taking time so the students are bored, and one of these methods was only controlled by some students who like to talk and want to stand out.
