<note>The researcher was interested in researching the product translation quality in terms of accuracy, acceptability, and readability from Nababan's framework. The researcher compared machine translation by google translate and human translation by eighth-semester students of the English study program at Nusa Cendana University. The researcher did this research because when a translator translates a text using machine and human translations, they are not paying more attention to the translation product, such as accuracy, acceptability, and readability. The purpose of this research is to know the quality differences between google translate and students‟ translations in terms of accuracy, acceptability, and readability. This research used descriptive-quantitative method. The subject of this research were google translate and the eighth-semester students in the English study program at Nusa Cendana University. The researcher chose 30 students randomly in each class. The researcher did a translation using google translate to translate the narrative text automaticaly. Moreover, the researcher gave the eighth-semester students a printout of a narrative text. The eighth-semester students translated using their opinion. Google translate and the eighth-semester students translated a narrative text from Indonesian into English. The researcher analyzed the data by rating, comparing, and calculating the data. The finding showed the quality differences between google translate and students‟ translation products in terms of accuracy, acceptability, and readability. The average score of the translation products of google translate and students‟ translations are 2,33 and 2,10. The score is categorized as less accurate, less acceptable, and less readable. Based on the result, it is figure out that google translate has a higher average score than students‟ translations but the quality product of translations in terms of accuracy, acceptability, and readability are the same which is categorized as less accurate, less acceptable, and less readable. It means the comparison between the quality of google translate and students‟ translations in terms of accuracy, acceptability, and readability are the same.
