<note>This thesis is entitled: ‘An Analysis of Figurative Language Found In The Book of Hosea of King James Version (KJV) Holy Bible’. The problems of the study are: firstly, what are types of figurative language found in the book of Hosea of King James Version (KJV) Holy Bible. Secondly, what are meanings of figurative language found in the book of Hosea of King James Version (KJV) Holy Bible.This study aims to identify the types of figurative language found in the book of Hosea of King James Version (KJV) Holy Bible and to describe the meaning of figurative language found in the book of Hosea of king James Version (KJV) Holy Bible. The method used was descriptive qualitatif method. The data resource of this study was all chapters in the book of Hosea of King James Version (KJV) Holy Bible. The technique used to collect data was observation. The data were analyzed by using some techniques such as identifying and decsribing technique. The result shows that: (1) There are six types of figurative language found in the book of Hosea of King James Version (KJV) Holy Bible, such as (a). Metaphor. For example: whoredoms, lo-ruhama, ami. (b). Personification. For example: sow her, the land mourn . (c). Hyperbole. For example: sown the wind (d). Metonymy. For example: ishi, baali. (e). Synecdoche. For example: silver and gold, sacrifice. (f). Simile. For example: like people like priest, as a lion as a leopard. (2) 2. The meaning of the figurative language found in The Book of Hosea of King James Version (KJV) Holy Bible, such as: (a). Metaphor: Example Whoredom. The word 'whoredoms' means in Scripture is idolatry; the desertion of the worship of the true God, for the worship of idols (b). Personification: Example: Sow. To express what the people of Israel will reap every wicked things that they did.. (c). Hyperbole: Sown the wind. The things that the people of Israel do it, will be vanish.  (d). Metonymy: Example: Ishi and Baali. It is the Isralite term, in opposition to Baali, the Canaanite term, with the same meaning, though with a significance of its own. (e). Synecdoche: Example: wirl and wirlwind. This word ‘whirlwind’ means the fruits of unrighteousness found in the people of Israel   (f). Simile: Example: As a lion, as a leopard. The people of Israel their heart was exalted and they don’t care anymore to their God.
