This study aims to know the ability to write announcement text and to find out the problems that are faced by the tenth-grade students of SMA 10 KUPANG in the academic year 2022/2023. The research method used in this research was the qualitative-quantitative research method (Mixed method) the population of this research was 32 students. the sample of this research was 32 students. techniques used to collect the data were test and interview. quantitative data is taken from student tests. Qualitative data is taken from student grades, interview sheets, observation sheets and documentation. The results showed that the average pre-test score was 62.7, there were 21.2% (7 students) who got a score ≥ 75, while the average post-test score was 81.5 and there were 93.9% (31 students) who get a score ≥ 75, meaning the average score from the post test is better than the pre test.
