This research aims in describing the character education values contained in Tiwu Inding legend. This study was viewed from the theory of cultural linguistics where it is one of the new theoretical perspectives in cognitive linguistic that examines the relationship between language, culture, and the conceptualization of a society. This study used descriptive-qualitative method. The subject of this study was the legend of Tiwu Inding which was taken from the book “Budaya dan Ragam Cerita Rakyat Manggarai Timur”. The result showed that there are some character education values contained in the Legend of Tiwu Inding and they are: religious value, social value, moral value and cultural value.
