<note>The research questions of this research are 1). How is Consciousness Raising Task used in teaching conditional sentences to XI-grade students of the computer engineering program at SMKN 1 Kupang academic year 2023/2024? 2). What is the students’ perceptions toward the use of
Consciousness Raising Task in teaching conditional sentences? 3). What is the English teachers’ perceptions toward the use of Consciousness Raising Task in teaching conditional sentences? This research objectives are 1). Describe how Consciousness Raising Task is used in teaching conditional sentences to grade XI students in the computer engineering program at SMKN 1 Kupang academic year 2023/2024. 2). To find out students’ perception toward the use of Consciousness Raising Task in teaching conditional sentences. 3). To find out English teachers’ perception toward the use of Conciousness-Raising Task in teaching conditional sentences. The research design used was qualitative descriptive method. The research instrument used were questionnaire and interview. The subject of this research was grade XI students of computer engineering program with the total of 39 students. The data analysis techniques used in this research was triangulation techniques. The result shows that Consciousness Raising Task could be a useful tool for teaching conditional sentences to XI grade students of computer engineering by raising their awareness and assisting them in developing conscious grammar knowledge in case students’ accuracy and
fluency in using the language. Furthermore, the students’ perceptions were categorized, namely: Effectiveness of using Consciousness Raising Task with the total 18 students, Students’ attitudes toward the use of Consciousness Raising Task with the total 18 students, Students’ feelings toward the use of Consciousness Raising Task with the total 15 students. The English teachers’ perception was positive, where the teacher felt Consciousness Raising Task helped students to get higher understanding of conditional sentences.</note>
