The research questions are: 1). How effective is the use of E-Learning in reading class (a case study in the fourth semester studentsof English Study Program in academic year 2020/2021) 2). What are thedifficultiesexperiencedbythestudentswhen participating in reading class by using E-Learning. To know about the effectiveness of E-learning in reading class (a case study in the fourth semester students of English Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Educational Science at Nusa Cendana University. To identify difficulties experienced by the fourth semester students of English Study Program in using E-learning in reading class. The research design of this study used,quantitative and qualitative method(mixed method). The research was conducted in the fourth semester students of English Study Program in academic year 2020/2021 at Nusa Cendana University from September to October. The population in this research is 238 students and sample in this research is 38 students.The data collection techniques are questionnaire, interview and observation.The data analysis technique used in this research are likert scale,data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion (Miles 2014).The results show that the use of E-learning in the reading class of fourth semester students, English Study Program, Nusa Cendana University in the 2020/2021 academic year is effective.The difficulties faced by fourth semester students in the 2020/2021 academic year at the English study program, Nusa Cendana University are the lack of unstable internet connection and access to materials which are obstacles in learning using E-learning as a learning medium.
