The problems of this research are: (1) what are the implicatures of hate speeches posted by Indonesian netizens directed at Ferdi Sambo on Twitter; (2) what are the illocutionary speech acts found in the hate speech directed at Ferdi Sambo based on Searle’s theory. The aims of this study are: (1) to find out the implicatures of hate speeches posted by Indonesian netizens directed at Ferdi Sambo on Twitter; (2) to find out the illocutionary speech acts found in the hate speech directed at Ferdi Sambo based on Searle’s theory. Hate speech is an utterance that intimidates people from certain groups that are oriented towards differences, race, national origin, religion, and gender. This research design of this study was a descriptive qualitative method, in this study the writer selected some tweets on twitter. The techniques that the writer collected the data are primary data and secondary data sources. The writer found four types of implicatures of hate speech, they are hate humiliation (4 tweets), anger (4 tweets), give a warning ( 2 tweets), provocation ( 2 tweets) and two types of illocutionary speech act based on Searle's theory they are expressive (6 tweets) and directive ( 3 tweets). This study the writer expects this study can provide something helpful for readers who are interested in studying language style more comprehensively.
