The aim of this study is to find out the problems faced by students in Practicing listening skill and their strategies to solve the problems. This research used descriptive research method and was conducted at the third Semester Students in the English Study Program of Nusa Cendana University in the academic year 2023/2024. Thirty-six students from the third semester student’s class c were selected as research subjects through a random sampling technique. The data was obtained from a questionnaire. The result obtained from the data analysis is the problems that students face when practicing listening skill are; lack of control over the speed at which speakers speak, not being able to get things repeated, the listener’s limited vocabulary, and inability to concentrate and their strategies that they used are: listening for gist, listening for specific informations, listening to predictions, listening to make inferences.
