<note>This thesis is entitled: “Meanings and Values of O Uwi in Reba Traditional Ceremony in Ngada Culture”. The problems of this study are: (1) what are the meanings of o uwi hymns in reba traditional ceremony in ngada culture (2) what are the values contained in o uwi hymn. The aims of this study are: (1) to describe meanings of o uwi hymns in Reba traditional ceremony in Ngada culture, (2) to describe the values of o uwi hymns in Reba traditional ceremony in Ngada culture. The method used to collect the data was qualitative descriptive method. It was used to find out the meanings of o uwi hymns in Reba traditional ceremony in Ngada culture, and to describe the values of o uwi hymns in Reba traditional ceremony in Ngada culture. The research conducted in Were II village, South Golewa subdistrict, Ngada regency. The data were taken from three informants. The techniques of data collection are observation, interview, and note taking. Procedures of the data analysis used in this research are identifying and compile and classify. The result shows that: 1. The meanings found in o uwi hymns in Reba traditional ceremony in Ngada culture, are  for example:“maidia one sa’ohi’u-hi’u go bukureba, sehiwa kita wi kako bho wa’i wutu, guku-guku ne’e da su guru, bui uwi ne’e da po’oreku, guku-guku gewe-gewe, pata da be’o ma’e rebho, papa po we’e dia papa bhoko”. (Do not forget the Reba culture, do not consider yourself as the great person, watch what you are saying about, do not talk others’ name, do not be arrogant, and respect each other). 2.Types of values found in this study are (a) religious values, example:tu gami bo’o nawu kami reje, (the religious means ask the Almighty God, and the ancestors to give us abundance of harvest and prosperity). (b) social value, example:mai dia one sa’o hi’u-hiu go buku reba, sehiwa wi kako bho wa’i wutu.(come to the traditional house to celebrate the Reba ceremony. It is held once a year). (c) historical value, example: Sili ana wunga nuka pera gua sebulu wula zua (Sili is the first child, comes to teach the culture Reba in twelve month) related to the history of Ngada ancestors especially in Were II village. (d) didactic value, example: dhegha-dhegha nee go buku ine ema, (keep in mind with the culture that the parents had taught) an advice to always remember the Reba ceremony and also the culture that has preserved from generation to generation.
