<note>This research entitled “AN ANALYSIS OF INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA USED BY ENGLISH TEACHERS IN TEACHING ENGLISH AT SMP NEGERI 10 KUPANG IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2023/2024”. The aims of this research are to find out some kids of media used by English teacher in teaching learning process at SMPN 10 Kupang in academic year of 2023/2024 and to find out what extent the media facilitated the students in learning English. The method used by the writer was “descriptive qualitative” that was to investigate and describe the information in certain condition. The research subjects were 5 English teachers at SMPN 10 Kupang. The instruments used were observation, questionnaires and interviews. The finding showed that there were two teaching media used by the English teachers in teaching learning process English, they was: Text Media, based on the teacher's answers to interview questions, these media were suitable for students to use in the teaching and learning process. Observations show that there were several advantages and disadvantages of this teaching method. The advantage of this teaching method is that it helps teachers provide material to students easily and helps students to be trained to think critically. However, the weakness of this media was too long in taking time so the students are bored, and one of these media was only controlled by some students who liked to talk and want to stand out.
