The title of this thesis is FORMS AND MEANINGS OF MATA LESO GE LOVE SONG IN MANGGARAI LANGUAGE (A CULTURAL INGUISTIC ANALYSIS). The research problems are (1)what are the forms of MLG love song in Manggarai language? and (2) what are the meanings of MLG love song in Manggarai language?. The aims is to describe the forms and meanings of the song. The method of this study is descriptive qualitative method and the data was taken from the lyrics of MLG love song in Manggarai language. The result of this study show a close relationship between Manggarai language, Manggarai culture and conceptualisation as reflected in the forms and meaning of MLG love song. The term forms consist of words, phrases, clauses, sentences, and figurative languages and the meanings of the song tells about the singers loved his wife showed by several simbolic meaning.
