This thesis is entitled: “Analysis the figurative language in “BPPKJ” poem of W. S. Rendra”. The problem of this research is analyzed the types of figurative language used in “BPPKJ” poem of W. S. Rendra and the meanings that contained in every figurative language used in “BPPKJ” poem of W. S. Rendra? The research aims to describe the types of figurative language used in ‘BPPKJ” poem of W. S. Rendra and meanings contained in every figurative language used in “BPPKJ” poem of W. S. Rendra. The research method that was used in this research was qualitative research method. Techniques that were used to collect the data were documentation studies followed by analyzing the data by using descriptive analysis. The result of the data revealed that in the poem “BPPKJ” poem of W. S. Rendra is written using fourteen types of figures of speech that are assembled in sentences 39 times with the following description: figure of personification, antithesis and repetition are used seven times, figure of hyperbole is used six times, figure of antonomasia, irony, pleonasm, symbolic, and sarcasm are used twice while figure of euphemism, periphrasis, litotes and synaesthesia are used only once. The poem by W. S. Rendra entitled "BPPKJ" has a positive message and values of life such as the fight against oppression and freedom of life, honesty, social justice, simplicity, humility, openness, and respect for others.
