<note>In the world of education, students are often faced with demands, challenges, and academic problems. The phenomenon that occurs at this time shows that academic resilience is important to survive the challenges that exist, especially in the world of education and the world of work. This study aims to determine (1) the description of academic resilience in students at SMK Negeri 6 Kupang who undergo field work practice, (2) differences in academic resilience between male and female students at SMK Negeri 6 Kupang who undergo field work practice, (3) differences in academic resilience of students in various fields of expertise of SMK Negeri 6 Kupang who undergo field work practice. This study used a quantitative approach with a comparative research design. The data collection technique used in the study was to use an academic resilience questionnaire (40 items) developed by myself based on Cassdy's theory. The data analysis technique is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Research results indicate: 1) Academic resilience in students at SMK SMK Negeri 6 Kupang as most of them are in the high / good category, namely 116 students or 67%. students or 67%; 2) Gender has no difference to academic resilience, with a value of Thitung < Ttable (1.53). differences on academic resilience, with the value of Thitung < Ttabel (1.533 < 1.653) and significance (0.127 > 0,05 ) 3) There is a difference between academic resilience and the field of expertise of academic resilience, with the value of Fcount> Ftable (7.708> 3.048) and significance (0.001 <0.05). 
Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that 1) Academic resilience in students at SMK Negeri 6 Kupang is classified in a high category (good academic resilience) 2) The academic resilience of students based on gender at SMK Negeri 6 Kupang who are undergoing field work practice is known to be the same or there is no difference; 3) The academic resilience of students in the field of expertise is known to be different where business and management is more dominant than the field of expertise of information and communication technology, and arts and creative economy. From the results of this study, it is necessary to pay attention to the counseling guidance teacher to provide services related to academic resilience in other fields of expertise so that other fields can improve their academic resilience.
