Third, what is the role and function of language use in the landscape linguistic perspective found on posters or banners at Prof. Dr. W.Z. Johannes Kupang Hospital? This study aims to describe how monolingual and bilingual language is used in the linguistic landscape in the work of Prof. Dr. W.Z. Johannes Kupang Hospital, to describe what forms of writing and language use are seen from the words, phrases and sentences on posters or banners at Prof. Dr. W.Z. Johannes Kupang Hospital, and to find out and describe the role and function of language use from the perspective of the linguistic landscape found on posters or banners in the environment of Prof. Dr. W.Z. Johannes Hospital Kupang. The research design that used was qualitative descriptive method. The data sources for this research are posters, banners and notice boards as well as directions at Prof. Dr. W.Z Johannes Hospital Kupang Data were analyzed using two techniques, namely describing and identifying techniques. The result is shows there are ten languages consisting of ten English monolingualisms and ten Indonesian monolingualisms, as well as ten Indonesian bilingualisms. The function of monolingual language is to attract visitors to be able to read the directions given and the use of monolingual English, namely to provide directions to foreigners because English is an international language which helps in this case for people with foreign friendships who visit. The presence of language bilingualism on posters and notice boards can provide additional attraction for readers. The ten forms of language used are: words, phrases and sentences as well as discourse in the linguistic landscape. Based on the research results, the role and function of language use from a linguistic landscape perspective can be found on posters or banners at Prof. Dr. W.Z. Johannes kupang Hospital which can help employees, medical personnel, patients, visitors, find places, rooms or facilities in the hospital environment, apart from that as a tool to convey announcements, appeals, directions, commercial signs, as well as a tool to strengthen relationships cooperation ties between visitors and medical personnel for health services at Prof. Dr. W.Z.
