This thesis entitled: An Analysis of Repetition in the Song Lyrics of Dawan Language in South Central Timor Regency. This study was conducted to answer these questions: (1) what are the forms of repetition use in the song lyrics in Dawan language at South Central Timor Regency? (2) what are the meanings of repetition use in the song lyrics in Dawan language at South Central Timor Regency? The aims of this study are: (1) this study intends to describe the forms of repetition use in the song lyrics in Dawan language at South Central Timor Regency (2) this study aims to describing the meanings of repetition use in the song lyrics in Dawan language at South Central Timor Regency. The purpose of this study is to determine the used of language style in the form of repetition in the lyrics of songs from South Central Timor Regency. This study used descriptive qualitative research with three main techniques of data collection, namely: (1) interview (2) note taking (3) recording. The data used in this study were obtained from 11 folk songs. Based on the result it can be concluded that there are language styles of repetition in the song lyrics from South Central Timor Regency. These repetitions include: anaphora, assonance, alliteration, epistrophe and mesidilopsis. The most dominant of repetition that occurs in the song lyrics is assonance where it is useful to create particular atmosphere and made the lyrics become beautifull.
