This thesis is titled “An Analysis of English Slang Words Used in English/Korean Only Telegram Group From December 2023 to January 2024”. The subject of this study was a member of the English/Korean telegram group. The research problems are: what types of English slang words used by English/Korean only group members on telegram from December 2023 to January 2024? And What are the meanings of English slang words used by English/Korean only group members on telegram from December 2023 to January 2024?. This study contained slang in types and meanings. This study aimed to identify the types of slang words used by English/Korean only members of the telegram group and to describe the sense of slang used by English/Korean only members of the telegram group. The type of method used was a qualitative method. The data was analyzed based on the Allan theory (2006). In this study, the writer collected the data from the conversation on telegram group as the informants who comes from English/Korean only group members on telegram. The writer used techniques such as asking permission to conduct research, reading the conversation, screenshooting the conversation and taking notes to collect the data. There were 30 slang words found; for fresh and creative, there are 4, there are 9 Flippant, there are 3 imitative, there are 11 acronyms, and there are 4 Clipping. It means slang is a language that is often used, and the slang words have their own meaning, which can be understood constantly by the group members.
