This research is a sociolinguistic study on types and functions of code switching used by Ryan Mac on the Bule Bolang YouTube channel. The problems of the study are: firstly, what are types of code switching used by Ryan Mac in Bule Bolang YouTube channel. Secondly, what are functions of code switching used by Ryan Mac in Bule Bolang YouTube channel. This study aims to identify and describe the types of code switching used by Ryan Mac in Bule Bolang YouTube channel, and to describe the functions of code switching used by Ryan Mac in Bule Bolang YouTube channel. The research design used was descriptive qualitative method. The data resource was the Bule Bolang YouTube channel. The writer selected two videos as the data resource. The writer used observation technique to collect data. The data were analyzed by using identifying and describing techniques. Based on findings and discussions on chapter four, the writer draws conclusion that there are 3 types of code switching used by Ryan Mac found in Bule Bolang YouTube channel. They are tag switching, inter sentential switching and intra sentential switching. The utterances contain tag switching are 8 data, the utterances contain inter sentential swiching are 14 data, and the utterances contain intra sentential switching are 49 data. There are five functions of code switching found in Bule Bolang YouTube channel used by Ryan Mac, as follow: (a) Referential function. The utterance contains this function is semua grass, ehh semua camping area punya rumput dan semua flat. Dan itu bagus banget buat camping. (b) Directive function. The utterance contains this function is I hope you like this channel guys, and if you want to give support please feel free to like, subscribe and bagi-bagi dong. (c) Expressive function. The utterance contains this function is Hahahah I don't know what to say. To be honest, I don't know what to say because ini gunung kecil banget, seru. Bagus. (d) Phatic function. The utterance contains this function is Wah thank you ya bro. (e) Metalinguistic Function. The utterance contains this function is Sekarang saya bikin juga streetfood review like makan, makan review dari streetfood dimana-mana di Indonesia, itu seru banget tapi yang itu pakai Bahasa Inggris tapi ada subtitle.
