<note>This study aimed to know how were flashcards used in taught vocabulary andidentified the potential problems encountered in used flashcards to taught vocabulary. In this studied, there were two researched problems, namely; how were flashcards used in teaching vocabulary and what the potential problems were in used flashcards to teach vocabulary. The writer only selected one class, which consisted of 29 students. The techniques used to collect the data were observation, questionnaires, and interviewed. The writer used identification and description techniques in analysed the data. The result of this study was that using flashcard media could help students in learned vocabulary. The problems faced by students in learned vocabulary using flashcard media included; the teacher did not provided examples of good and corrected vocabulary pronunciation to students, which made them had difficulty pronouncing vocabulary, the teacher was less creative in made flashcards in teaching subjects and this made some students not enthusiastic about the media or methods used, the student could not spelled the letters of the word correctly, and incomplete classroom facilities were the main problem for teacher in taught subject used flashcard media.</note>
