This thesis discusses "ANALYSIS OF CHARACTERIZATION AND CONFLICT OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS IN THE NOVEL "THE WINNER STANDS ALONE" BY PAULO COELHO". The method that will be applied in this research is the descriptive - qualitative method. “Descriptive qualitative method. Researchers will collect data from the novel The Winner Stands Alone itself and look for other data from several variables in the form of notes, books, journals, articles and other online sources. The research results show that the novel "The Winner Stands Alone" is not just a story of individual characters but a deep exploration of human nature and societal values. Coelho's masterful storytelling and insightful characterization force readers to reflect on their own ambitions, values, and choices that shape their lives. Ultimately, the novel invites us to reflect on the balance between success and personal integrity, encouraging us to seek meaning beyond the entanglements of fame and fortune.
