This thesis is about “AN ANALYSIS OF THE MORAL VALUES IN ALMOND NOVEL WRITTEN BY SOHN WON-PYUNG”. This study aims to analyze what are the moral values reflected in the novel Almond written by Sohn Won Pyung. The researcher used the theory of Nicolai Hartman (1932) to identify and analyze the data that have been found in the novel. The focus of this research is the sentences that contained moral message directly and indirectly in the Almond novel written by Sohn Won-Pyung.The data in this research is moral message directly and indirectly from the novel. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative method. The result of this research shows that there are eleven moral values in the novel based on three groups of moral values. The first group arewisdom, courage, and self control. The second group are brotherly love, truthfulness, trust and faith, modesty, and the values of social intercourse. The third group are love of the remote, personality, and personal love. This study is expected to give information about moral values in Almond novel to the readers.
