The problem of this study is : can the use of English songs improve listening skill of eleventh grade students of SMA N 2 Kota Kupang in academic year 2023/2024?. This research aims to find out whether the use of English songs can improve listening skill of eleventh grade students of SMAN 2 Kota Kupang in academic year 2023/2024. The method used was experimental method. This research was conducted in SMAN 2 Kupang in November, 2023 particularly eleventh grade students. The population of this research was 432 students of SMAN 2 Kupang. By using purposive sampling technique, the researcher selected 36 students as the sample. The sample was divided into two groups, such as experimental group consist of 18 students and control group consist of 18 students. The instrument used to collect data to measure the value of variables was a test that is multiple choice that consists of 30 items. In collecting the data, the researcher used pre test, treatment and post test as the data collection procedures followed by analyzing the data by using t-test formula. The result shows that the use of English songs in teaching listening can improve listening skill of eleventh grade students of SMAN 2 Kupang in the academic year of 2023/2024, because the result of statistical calculation indicated that of t-test was 4 and the value of df (degree of freedom) was 34 at the level of significance of 5% was 2.2. It can be concluded that the t-test was higher than t-table, where 4>2.2. Since t-test value is higher than t-table value thus, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. It means that the use English songs in teaching can improve listening skill of eleventh grade students of SMAN 2 Kupang in the academic year 2023/2024.
