<note>The aims of this research are to describe the perceptions of the non-English study program students at Nusa Cendana University about the use of Instagram as medium in learning English and the benefits gained by the students when using Instagram as medium in learning English. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method with a case study design and with the Hermeneutic Phenomenology method. The data were gathered through interviews with five students enrolled in the non-English study program at Nusa Cendana University during the academic year 2022/2023, who served as the research subjects. While the object of this research is an interview transcript of the perceptions and benefits obtained by the students when using Instagram as medium in learning English. The data analysis technique used is the hermeneutic phenomenology. The results of this study show that (1) Students can develop their English skills by studying anywhere and anytime, (2) Students can learn English through Instagram effectively because Instagram has accessible connection and affordable prices, (3) Students prefer to learn English by using Instagram than other media because, Instagram has visual effects and interactive features that make learning more fun.
