This thesis is entitled:“A Study on Derivational Morphemes in Mollo Dialect of Uab Meto Language in South Central Timor Regency“. The problems of this study are: (1) What are the forms of derivational morphemes in Mollo dialect of Uab Meto language? (2) What are the types of derivational morphemes based on the position they attach to the base form in Mollo dialect of Uab Meto language? (3) What are the functions of derivational morphemes in Mollo dialect of Uab Meto language?. This study aims to (1) identify the forms of derivational morphemes in Mollo dialect of Uab Meto language, (2) find out types of derivational morphemes based on the position they attach to the base form in Mollo dialect of Uab Meto language, (3) Describe the functions of derivational morphemes in Mollo dialect of Uab Meto language. Descriptive qualitative method was applied in this research. This research was conducted in Tunua village, Northern Mollo sub-district, South Central Timor regency in March to April. The data resource of this research was five informants of native speakers of Mollo dialect of Uab Meto language. The techniques of data collection were observation, interview, recording, note taking, and elicitation. The techniques of data analysis were transcribing,identifying, and describing. The result shows that There are three types of derivational morphemes based on the position they attach to the base and the words categories. First, derivational morphemes attach to verb is classified into three types of morphemes based on the position they attach to the base verb. they are prefix a-, circumfix a-t, circumfix a-os, circumfix a-as, circumfix am-at, circcumfix a-at, circumfix a-us, circumfix mat-s, suffix -at, and suffix -s. Second, in Mollo dialect of Uab Meto language, there is one type of derivational morphemes attach to adjective which is circumfix. Derivational circumfixes that attach to the base adjectives are circumfix a-t, circumfix a-at, and circumfix a-ut. Third, derivational morphemes attach to noun has one type of derivational morphemes which is prefix. Derivational prefix attach to noun base are classified into prefix man-, prefix t-, prefix mat, prefix mi-, prefix am-, prefix na-, prefix ma-, and prefix ¬n-. There are some functions of derivational morphemes found in Mollo dialect of Uab Meto language. First, prefix a- has the function as a noun when it is attached to the base verb, prefix man- has the function as a verb when it is attached to the base noun, prefix t- has function as a verb when it is attached to the base noun, prefix mat- has function as a verb when it is attached to the base noun, prefix ma- has function as a verb when it is attached to the base form, prefix mi- has function as a verb when it is attached to the base noun, prefix na- has function as verb when it is attached to the base noun, and prefix n- has function as a verb when it is attached to the base noun. Second, circumfix a-t has function as a noun when it is attached to the base adjective, circumfix a-at has function as a noun when it is attached to the base adjective, circumfix a-os has function as a noun when it is attached to the base verb, circumfix a-as has function as a noun when it is attached to the base verb, circumfix a-ut has function as a noun when it is attached to the base verb, circumfix am-at has function as a noun when it is attached to the base verb, circumfix a-et has function as a noun when it is attached to the base adjective, circumfix mat-s has function as a noun when it is attached to the base verb, and circumfix a-us has function as a noun when it is attached to the base verb. Third, suffix -at has function as a noun when it is attached to the base verb and suffix -s has function as a noun when it is attached to the base verb.
