<note>This thesis is entitled “THE USE OF YOUTUBE VIDEOS AS AN AUDIOVISUAL MEDIA IN TEACHING ENGLISH NOUNS AT SD KRISTEN TUNAS GLORIA”. This research aimed to know how teachers implement audiovisual media which is YouTube videos in teaching Nouns, and what challenges the teachers faced in using YouTube videos. This research used descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this research were two English teachers at SD Kristen Tunas Gloria who teaches the second and the fourth class. The research was conducted in a day at SD Kristen Tunas Gloria. In collecting the data, the writer used two techniques, they were observation and interview. From the data collection, the writer found out the way the teachers implement the YouTube videos in teaching English nouns step by step from the beginning of the class, the implementation of the media until the closing. From the observation, it can also be seen the students’ reaction and enthusiasm in learning and answering the question from the teachers based on the YouTube video they have watched. From the interview, the researcher found out that in implementing the media, the teachers faced some challenges such as the lack of media to support the class, and the teachers did not find the appropriate YouTube channel that was suitable with the material. However, the teachers acknowledge that the use of YouTube videos as an audiovisual media is very useful in attracting students’ attention and making the learning process a fun activity for the students.
