This thesis examines Eric Nam and Taecyeon Utterance's speech act types and functions in the Daebak Show Dive Studio Podcast. "An Analysis of Speech Acts Found in Eric Nam and Taecyeon Utterance in Daebak Show Dive Studio Podcast" is the title of this thesis. Three research questions are posed in this thesis: The forms of speech acts and their purposes in Eric Nam and Taecyeon's utterances in the Daebak Show Dive Studio Podcast are examined in this thesis. "An Analysis of Speech Acts Found in Eric Nam and Taecyeon Utterance in Daebak Show Dive Studio Podcast" is the title of this thesis. Three research questions are posed in this thesis: 1. What kinds of speech acts are used by Eric Nam and Taecyeon in the Daebak Show Dive Studio Podcast? 2. What is the most dominant speech act used by Eric Nam and Taecyeon in the Daebak Show Dive Studio Podcast? 3. What are the functions of speech acts used by Eric Nam and Taecyeon in the Daebak Show Dive Studio Podcast? As part of the qualitative descriptive technique, this thesis used the theories of G. Yule (1996), J. R. Searle (1976), and J. L. Austin (1962) to analyze the data. According to the research, there are 133 speech act utterances divided into 3 locutionary acts, 129 illocutionary acts, and 1 perlocutionary act. Additionally, the researcher discovered 129 utterances of speech act functions, comprising 44 representational utterances, 38 expressive utterances, 41 directive utterances, and 6 commissive utterances. The results show certain speech act utterances and their functions, each categorized according to it is category.
