Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahuai pemahaman atau kesalahan penggunaan preposisi di, ke, dan dari dalam karangan narasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Rote Barat. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini ialah menggunakan teknik penugasan atau nontes. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data yang diperoleh, siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Rote Barat dapat dikatakan mampu menggunakan preposisi di, ke, dan dari dalam karangan narasi. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan pada hasil pencapaian siswa, yakni dilihat dari jumlah keseluruhan siswa 25 orang, 22 siswa dikatakan mampu memperoleh nilai 75-100 dengan persentase 88%, sedangkan 3 siswa dikatakan kurang mampu memperoleh nilai <75 dengan persentase 12%. ABSTRACT Thesis Title : Errors in Using the Preposition in, to, and from in the Narrative Essays of Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 3 Rote Barat Name : Alfons Junaerdi Haninuna NIM : 2101010027 Supervisor I : Drs. This reasearch is entitled “Errors in Using the Preposition in, to, and from in the Narrative Essays of Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 3 Rote Barat”. The aim of this research is to find out the understanding or errors in using the preposition in, to, and from in the narrative essays of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Rote Barat. The technique used to collect data in this research is assignment or non-test techniques. The method used in the research is a descriptive qualitative method. Based on the results of the research and data analysis obtained, class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Rote Barat can be said to be able to use the prepositions in, to, and from narrative essays. This can be proven in the results of student achievement, nemely looking at the total number of 25 students, 22 students are said to be able to get a score of 75-100 with a percentage of 88%, while 3 students are said to be less able to get a score <75 with a percentage of 12%.
