<note>This study investigates the use of “Silent Way Method” to increase student vocabulary of tenth graders at SMA Negeri 1 Amabuban Tengah in the academic year 2024/2025. The aim of this study was to know how the Silent Way Method can increase vocabulary of tenth graders at SMA Negeri 1 Amanuban Tengah in academic year 2024/2025. In conducting this research the researcher used classrrom action research method (CAR). This research was qualitative and quantitative. The subject of this research was class X-H of SMA Negeri 1 Amanuban Tengah. The total number of students is 30. This research was conducted in August 2024. The data was collected by using observation technique and test,consist of pre-test and post-test in form of multiple choice test. The study found that there was an improvement in students’ vocabulary by using the Silent Way Method. In cycle 1, in this case students participation and result of post test shows that the average score of the students did not achieve the standards.Students participation is at moderate levels and the post test result at fair level. In cycle 2, there was an improvement where the students participation was at high level and post test result were at high level (excellent). In conclussion, the Silent Way Method  is effective for teaching and learning English.
