In this work, the writer investigates discrimination against women through language expressions in the Lamaholot community as well as the views of both genders on the discrimination that occurs and whether women as objects of discrimination are aware of the injustice they experience. Using a qualitative narrative approach and discourse analysis, the writer collected data as the main source of study using semi- and unstructured interviews with audio recording as a sub instrument. The results of this study show that women in Lamaholot experience five discriminations expressed through language expressions, namely restrictions on mobilisation, stereotypes that lead to subordination, excessive household burden, unfair distribution of parental inheritance and violence. Not all Lamaholot men and women have the same perspective that the injustices that arise are cultural values and absolute. However, there are also lamaholot women and men who hold the view that women are not naturally less smarter than men, but rather just a stereotype formed by the gender roles in society. Lamaholot women are not all unaware of the discrimination that exists, but there are also other Lamaholot women who are aware of the discrimination that occurs.
