<note>This study investigated the use of the 'Make a Match' technique to improve students' reading comprehension in grade IX students of SMPN 11 Kupang during sthe 2024/2025 academic year. This research answers one main question: To what extent can the 'Make a Match' technique improve students' reading comprehension? This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of two cycles. The subjects of this study were grade IX students at SMPN 11 Kupang. Class IX consists of 9 classes, namely classes A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H and I. The total number of students in class IX is 295 students. The researcher selected 32 students in class IX B as the research subject. Before implementing the technique, with an average score of 58.71, indicating that most students did not meet the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of 75. After applying the 'Make a Match' technique, the post-test results showed significant improvement, with an average score of 82.93, and 24 students (75%) achieving or exceeding the KKM. This research was conducted in 
November 2024 for students of class IX B at SMPN 11 Kupang in the academic year 2024/2025. The results of this research show that the 'Make a Match' technique can improve students' reading comprehension. The ‘Make a Match’ technique effectively improved students’ reading comprehension, as evidenced by a 41.23% increase in scores, representing a highly improvement.
