<note>This research entitled Using Natural Approach to improve the English vocabulary of the tenth-grade students of SMA N 5 Kupang. Aims to improve students’ achievement in vocabulary by using Natural Approach Method. The students have difficulties in remembering new vocabulary and are focused on understanding the vocabulary. The students think that English was difficult and boring. To improve students’ vocabulary, the researcher used Natural Approach Method as a teaching method to help the students increase their vocabulary. Classroom action research was used in this research. This research consisted of two Cycle, each cycle consists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Based on the result of this research, there was an improvement in the students’ vocabulary achievement. It can be seen from the average score of the pre-test which was 45,00 Post-test cycle I was 78,97 and post-test II was 86,91. Learning English with the Natural Approach Method was success had improving students’ vocabulary achievement of the tenth-grade students of SMA N 5 Kupang. Finally, the researcher suggests that teacher should use Natural Approach Method as the method for teaching and learning process in terms of vocabulary. The natural approach can improve the English vocabulary of tenth-grade students of SMAN 5 Kupang, by improving students the researcher making group discussions, by asking more question to use google search engine, and by asking them to use their cellphones particulary Google.
