In Manggarai culture, Towe Songke (woven fabric) is an important part of life. This is also the case for the people of Torong Koe. Woven fabric for the Manggarai community is not just any fabric but has the meaning implied in each motif and pattern, so that it has a high position in the cultural life of the Manggarai community. The aims of this research are 1) to find out the forms of towe songke motifs in Torong Koe Village, West Reok Sub-district Manggarai District, and 2) to find out the meaning of towe songke motifs in Torong Koe Village, West Reok Sub-district Manggarai District. The problems of this research are formulated as: 1) what are the forms of towe songke motifs in Torong Koe Village, West Reok Sub-district Manggarai District?; 2) what are the meaning of towe songke motifs in Torong Koe Village, West Reok Sub-district Manggarai District? This research used a descriptive qualitative method. The data collection techniques were interviews, recording and note-taking, and documentation. This research was conducted in Torong Koe Village, West Reok Sub-district Manggarai District. The result of this research proves that there are six towe songke motifs of forms that are wela kaweng (wildflowers), ranggong (spider), jok (traditional house), su’i (perpendicular lines), mata manuk (chicken eyes),and ntala (star), and the there are six motifs Towe Songke meaning contained in each towe songke motif have a different meaning. They are jok (traditional house), ntala (star), ranggong (spider), mata manuk (chicken eyes), su’i (perpendicular lines), and wela kaweng (wildflowers). The writer expects that other researchers may conduct further studies related to the topic of this study.
