The title of this writing is “COLLOCATION IN AMANUBAN-AMANATUN DIALECT OF UAB METO” The research problem is formulated into the following questions: what are the collocation words and types of collocation found in Amnuban-Amanatun dialect of Uab Meto. The aim is to find out the collocation words and describe the types of collocation used in Amanuban-Amanatun Dialect. The method of this research is descriptive method. To find these points, the writer chooses five informants as the representative of the native speakers of Amanuban-Amanatun who live in Kesetnana village. In obtaining the data, the writer uses translation task and elicitation technique. The result of this research is that Amanuba-Amanatun Dialect has some collocation words and their types can be divided into some categories. The types are: Noun + verb, (in nu’ – au u’et) Verb + Noun, (tah mak ane-teuk pena) Noun + Noun, (bia keso – fafi mone) pronoun + Adjective (au uhin – in nahin). There are 33 collocation exppressions gained from Amanuban-Amanatun Dialect of Uab Meto. Finally, the writer suggests for all elements either the native speakers of the academicians that learning Collocation has to be paid attention assuredly just like the other aspects of language because in includes the important part of understanding a language.
