This study is entitled Form and Meaning in Moana Movie (A Semiotic Analysis) concerned on the signs in Moana movie in view of two related aspects involving components and meanings. As such, the problems that will be answered in this research are formulated in the following questions : 1)What are the form of the signs in Moana movie? 2) What are the meaning of the signs in Moana movie? The aims of this study are to describe and explain the form of signs in Moana movie and to describe and explain the meaning of signs in Moana movie. this study analyzed the form and meaning in Moana movie by studying the signs using Charles Sanders Pierce theory as the theoretical framework. This study also used descriptive qualitative method. Descriptive was applied to collect the part of the scene and explains the form and meaning of signs namely icons, indexes and symbols of Moana Movie. The data were collected by taking screenshot of some movie parts that contain the signs that icon, index and symbol. The analysis continued by identifying, classifiying and analysing scenes that indicates the components of signs that found in the movie. This study reveals that many signs can be found in Moana movie, the signs contain icons, indexes and symbols. All these signs represented meanings that found in the movie. This study is concerned with the signs in Moana movie in view of two related aspects involving components and meanings. Key word : Movie, Semiotics, Signs, Icon, Index, Symbol.
