This thesis is focus on three scopes. First, the research focuses on the semiotic form of language in the traditional marriage of the Timor South Amanuban Tribe in the South Central Timor District. Second, this study focuses on the semiotic function of language in indigenous marriages. Third, research focuses on the semiotic meaning of language in indigenous marriages. To find out the form of language used in the traditional wedding ceremony of Amanuban Selatan District. This research aims to find out the meaning of the language used in the traditional wedding ceremony of Amanuban Selatan District. The data collection instruments used were interviews. The results show that in traditional marriage discussions, four types of sentences—exclamatory, interrogative, declarative, and imperative—serve different communicative purposes. Exclamatory sentences express emotions like joy or sincerity. Interrogative sentences seek clarity on intentions and symbolic elements.
