<note>This study examines the effectiveness of the 'Hello English' application in improving the vocabulary knowledge of second semester English Department students at Nusa Cendana University. The study aim to finding out whether or not the ”Hello English” application enriches English vocabulary of the second semester of English department students at Nusa Cendana University. The method used in this study was qualitative method. The subjects of this research were 35 students of second English department students of Nusa Cendana University from class C. The techiques of data collection were questionnaires and interviews. The result of data analysis indicate that the majority of respondents (24 participants = 70%) reported to again vocabulary comprehension, their motivation was increased and had greater engagement in learning. Key features were also identified as most effective in using “Hello English” including Interactive Practice (contextual exercises) and Quizzes/Games (e.g., Quizathon Challenge, Spelling Bee), which facilitated active vocabulary retention through gamification. Additionally, 70% of users noted improved their of vocabulary in daily conversations and writing. Challenges included unstable internet connectivity and limited device storage (reported by 3 interviewees). The study concludes that "Hello English" effectively enriches vocabulary by combining interactive pedagogy, contextual learning, and flexible accessibility, though technical infrastructure improvements are recommended for optimal implementation.
