Language plays an important role in communication. For the linguist, is form: sound, letters, and their combinations into larger units such as words, sentences, and so forth. Many kinds of language are produced every day. Hence, people find new words which influence towards their language style or variation. In sociolinguistics, language variety also called lect which is a general term for any distinctive form of language or linguistic expression. There are five types of language variety including jargon, argot, register, idiom and slang. This research analyzed one of the language variations, which slang as the non-standard language of words and expressions used in a conversation or letter, but it is not used in a speech or formal essay. It described the slang words used by the members of Viktor Lerik/Veki Lerik (bebasbicarabicarabebas). The findings show that there are five types of slang used by the people in the group.
